    PARTICIPANTS WITH DISABILITIES

It is more than likely a trainer will have one or more participants who has a disability. It is vital that they are aware of these ones special requirements and considerations but also the need to treat them like everyone else.

    • ACCOMODATING DISABILITIES

For a trainer to create the best learning environment it is important to know as much of the participants as possible. The reason for this is to prevent awkward and embarrassing situations to arise.

If there are participants with physical, mental and medical limitations it will help you to be aware in advance so as to prepare your lesson plan appropriately. If a person has poor sight make sure their view of the white board etc is unhindered. Maybe the workbook can be printed in a larger text format.

Other learners may have English as their second language or they have learning. Literacy problems. Be sure then that the structure and level of vocabulary is at a level which they will understand and all will benefit to the full.
