PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
First impressions last – they way people see you for the first time is lasting and corresponds to how they treat you. This is a very important area for a trainer to be aware of! You are a professional, so be sure you look like one. Be sure to dress in a professional, appropriate and comfortable way, be modest in your attire. A good rule to stick by is to dress equal or above the level of your training group. Make sure the clothes fit you properly and is not distracting. This can be an area of concern especially for women. Remember less is more, don’t wear bangles or earrings that make noise or disturbs your participants. Shoes as well in the case of women, although it is a matter of personal preference and comfort it is advisable to wear flat shoes as wearing high heels changes your centre of gravity, changes the way you walk and therefore does not provide you with the support and stability required in front of your training group.
